Our Tenugui, Japanese cotton towels, are featured in the May 2024 issue of @foodandwine Food & Wine Magazine! These hand-dyed artisanal and versatile towels are made by Kamekonya, a 270-year-old dyer from Niigata. Naoko (@mrsdonabe) has been a big fan of their Tenugui for many years. In fact, she started selling their Tenugui when TOIRO was just online more than 10 years ago. Since we opened our brick & mortar store in 2017, we have expanded the Tenugui collection by Kamekonya.
